For the positions of Director (ORIC), Director (QEC), Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering Sciences (with specialization in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, or Engineering Sciences), Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering Sciences (with specialization in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, or Engineering Sciences), Manager Research Support, and Assistant Director Rector’s Office in the GIK Institute, applications are invited from well-qualified individuals. The following are the required qualifications and experience.
Director (ORIC): The Director will manage and enhance the university’s research activities, develop research policies and priorities, work to raise funds for research and other activities, mobilize faculty, the business community, and industry for research commercialization, and serve as an effective advocate for research within the university and among its broader stakeholder community. Second, strong relationships with the local government, business/industry, entrepreneurs, universities, and social communities are required. Finally, show management and growth experience in non-profit organizations.
He or she will also put in place the strategy and business growth plan needed to carry out program initiatives and help the ORIC advance. The ORIC’s operational aspects are also managed by this post. He or she will collaborate closely with other boards, such as business/technology incubators and the University Science & Technology Park (if any). He or she will also contribute to the Institute’s broader goals.
