Category A => Academics
Scholarships are offered to students with academic merit in two parts – a monthly payment and conditional employment (teaching). Scholarship amounts are determined by the scholarship matrix provided above.
As stated above, the scholarship percentage includes employment as a Teaching Assistant, provided the student is chosen by the teacher.

The following types of awards are available:
Providing grants (monthly)
Working up to 10 hours a week as a teacher
During the Nixor term, expect the following:
GPA (Grade Point Average) > 3.75
A high rate of attendance (>95%)
Strikes are not allowed

Category B => Leadership
Each school may only apply for one scholarship per Head Boy and Head Girl/President of the Student Council. Depending on the size of the graduating class, the amount offered ranges from Rs. 3000/month to Rs. 7000/month.

During the Nixor term, expect the following:
Participating in GCC/Government/Corporate at least 10 hours a week
A high rate of attendance (>95%)

A letter of verification from the O Level school
Category C => Sports
Sports scholarships are available to students who have a demonstrated record of excellence in sports. It is subjective to determine the amount of a sports scholarship and a decision is made on a case-by-case basis.
In order to qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
Sporting excellence demonstrated through a track record
The following types of awards are available:
Providing grants (monthly)
During the Nixor term, expect the following:
Participation in the school team
A high rate of attendance (>90%)
GPA (Grade Point Average) > 2.0

Category D => Need
Nixor College caters to student needs. Decisions will be given a higher priority to students who have a strong track record in academics and community service. We would like to assist all students who need financial assistance, but due to limited resources, we will not be able to assist any students with grades below 6A/A*. A student who improves his or her financial situation during enrollment must inform the School so that the funds can be re-directed to another deserving student.

Donation (once/monthly)
Up to ten hours/week of employment (administrative)
During Nixor tenure, expect the following:
Participating in at least five hours of community service and/or being a member of GCC each week
A high rate of attendance (>95%)
GPA (Grade Point Average) > 3.0

3. Essay writing is an optional task. However, writing an essay strengthens your application. Essays illustrate how well you know Nixor College. A demonstration and understanding of Nixor Community and its A-Level program is more important to the admissions committee than excellence in style and vocabulary.
4. If you are copying your essay into the application form, make sure that you have checked it for spelling and grammar in Microsoft Word.
