ICP Connect Master’s scholarships are awarded by VLIR-UOS to students from 29 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America who wish to pursue an English-taught Master’s degree at a Flemish university or university college in Belgium.

VLIR-ICP Scholarships Description
VLIR-UOS exclusively offers full scholarships for the whole Master’s Program (12/24 months). Tuition, travel, insurance, and living expenses are all covered by the scholarships (board and lodging).

Age: | Candidates must be 35 years old or older on January 1 of the year of admission for an initial master’s degree and 45 years old for an advanced master’s degree. |
VLIR-ICP Scholarships 2021 Requirements:
Nationality and country of residence:
Candidates must be citizens of one of the 29 qualifying countries and residents of one of these countries at the time of application (not necessarily the same country).
Professional background and experience:
Candidates working in higher education, government, or civic society, or those pursuing a career in one of these fields, will be given priority. Candidates who work in the private sector or who have recently graduated and have no job experience may be considered provided they have a strong drive and profile.
Scholarship applications:
Candidates are only allowed to apply for one ICP Connect scholarship per year.
Previously awarded scholarships:
Candidates must not have previously obtained a government scholarship to undertake a study program in Belgium and must not have enrolled in a study program at a Belgian higher education institution before January 1 of the intake year.
How to Apply:
You must apply for both admissions to the program and the scholarship directly through the university’s website. Make a note of whether you want to apply for a scholarship when you apply for the program. The deadline varies depending on the program, but most are around February 1 or February 28 in 2022.
