A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between PepsiCo Pakistan and Prime Minister Kamyab Jawan, to establish Pakistan’s biggest internship program. The agreement provides students across the country with a virtual internship program through which PepsiCo and its bottling partners will offer 1000 internships.
During the internship program, students will gain experience in a business environment, which will prepare them for their future careers.
By leveraging its ‘Roshan Kal’ platform, PepsiCo has been able to roll out the large-scale initiative it had envisioned for youth. PepsiCo Roshan Kal provides internships and skill development opportunities to students through its youth platform.
Over 5300 opportunities have been provided to youth via the internship program and the professional skills development program run in collaboration with the Amal Academy by Roshan Kal.
Creating opportunities for Pakistani youth is part of PepsiCo’s DNA and a government priority in the country, Furqan Ahmed Syed, president of PepsiCo Pakistan and Afghanistan, said in a statement. By combining Kamyab Jawan with Roshan Kal, we have created an unprecedented opportunity for our youth to learn and develop their skills.
In order to facilitate the engagement of youth in Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan program emphasizes education, employment, and employment opportunities. A number of programs for youth are offered in the program. Internships, loans to young entrepreneurs, skill development, volunteering programs, and supporting talented young people in completing ‘start up’ programs are among the programs provided by the government.
On the day of the signing ceremony for the MoU, Usman Dar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, was present.
“Our best hope of experiencing a prosperous, equitable, equitable, inclusive, and tolerance-filled Pakistan lies in supporting economically-productive, politically-aware, and socially-integrated youth”. Another step has been taken for the country’s better future with this partnership. We are pleased to have PepsiCo taking part in this important undertaking.”
